Meet Our Team

Dr. Jan Ringnalda, the CEO of PicoSpective started his experience with Electron Micrsocopes at Liverpool University, UK in 1984.  He used Philips and JEOL instruments as well as a VG HB501 during his degree and postgraduate degree period there.  He then moved to The Ohio State University where he used JEOL, Hitachi and Philips instrumentation for post-doctoral research.  In 1995 he joined Philips Electron Optics as an Applications Specialist.  Philips Electron Optics became FEI in 1998 and in 2003 he moved with his family to The Netherlands to accelerate and bring to market the Titan microscope as product manager, which was launched ahead of schedule in 2005.  He maintained several roles in FEI until FEI was taken over by Thermo Fisher and continued as Lead product specialist until 2024.  Now as CEO of PicoSpective delivering winning capabilities in a timely fashion to the Scientific Community
